A cat named Kefir who lives with its owner Yuliya Minina in Stary Oskol, Russia. It didn’t take too long for the cat to stick out because of its enormous size. Kefir is 1 year and 9 months old now and weighs around 26 pounds. What a beauty. We had a tortoiseshell who grew pretty large. She would stretch out and take up three seats on the sofa 🙂 She was called birdie because she had a huge purr. You could place your hand over her a couple of feet or more above while asleep and she would start to purr as you made stroking motions without actually touching her.Damn, that’s a big boy even for a Maine coon and he still has a few years to grow. Both are lucky to have found each other and I am beyond jealous! I can tell that mega floof is as sweet as he is big.I adopted an adult Maine Coon from the local shelter and he was the best cat that I could have ever had!! In fact, my second grandson is named in his honor, Spencer. He was named after the great actor Spencer Tracy! I miss him everyday!! They are one of the most beautiful breeds!! They are very affectionate, self reliant and incredible hunters as well! I can’t tell you how many times I had to take rabbits to my vet in hopes that they could save them!! RIP Spencer ❤️My family had an experience similar to this. My mother took in a small kitten (the smallest kitten I’d ever seen in my entire life) whose Siamese mother had gone up into the hills and came back pregnant. The person we got the kitten from said it was female, so my mom named it Tinkerbell, because it was so tiny. Later on, we discovered it was half bobcat, and… it was a “he”. Tinkerbell was big, heavy and could tear out a huge chunk of your flesh with one swipe of his massive paws. I’m not going to lie; Tinkerbell could be scary at times (especially when he wanted to play), but he was also such a loving cat and so fun to live with. I loved Tinkerbell. He really was a member of the family.Since it can take 5 years for a Maine Coon to fully mature, it’ll be interesting to see what he maxes out at. He’s quite a stunner.
